Job Description: – Electrical Technology Instructor
Qualifications Required:
Required: An Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology, a current State of Nebraska Electrical Contractor License, and five (5) years collective relevant work experience.
Preferred: A Bachelor’s degree in the Electrical field or related field, three (3) years collective relevant work experience and a current State of Nebraska Electrical Contractor License.
Strong preference will be given to individuals with successful teaching experience, a commitment to student learning with a hands-on approach and a passion for the Electrical field. Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills.
General Summary:
As an instructor in the Electrical Technology Program (ELTR) at the new Kearney Learning Center, the successful candidate can expect to teach Electrical courses two evenings a week in Residential Wiring, Residential Materials & Devices, Commercial Materials & Devices, and Commercial Tools. Instructors teach with a hands-on approach to a diverse student population with varying learning styles and assess student program toward program certificate.
